No illegal mining after formation of Congress government: Bhupinder Singh Hooda
Former chief minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that after the formation of the Congress government, illegal mining would be curbed as it had ruined natural resources in Yamunanagar and other districts of the state.
He said that the Congress government would allow only legal mining, so there was no loss of natural resources and people get employment.
“There has been massive illegal mining in Yamunanagar district, but our government shall not allow this to happen,” Hooda said.
The former chief minister on Sunday addressed an election rally in Yamunanagar, which was organised by Congress candidate Raman Prakash Tyagi from the Assembly constituency.
In the presence of Hooda, a number of social organisations and political leaders extended their support to Tyagi.
Hooda added government jobs were sold during the BJP regime in the past 10 years.
He further said that the Congress would fill two lakh permanent government vacancies on the basis of merit.
Hooda added their government would guarantee legal Minimum Support Price of crops to the farmers.
He said that during the Congress tenure, paddy procurement was started from September 15. However, the BJP kept giving dates after dates to the farmers every time.
“Paddy has started arriving in the grain markets from September 15. First, the BJP said that procurement would start from September 15, then September 23 and now, it was being said as October 1. After the farmers’ protest, procurement was announced from September 27,” Hooda added.
He said that the Congress would ensure that crime, drug addiction, unemployment, inflation and dictatorship flee from Haryana and the state became number one in the country in development and prosperity.
