No compromise on quality in construction works: MLA

Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora laid the foundation stone of a road in Krishna Colony falling under Ward 16 of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ).

This road will be constructed by the MCYJ by spending Rs 28.06 lakh. Underground pipelines will also be laid to strengthen the drainage system on both sides of the road.

MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora said development works worth crores of rupees were being carried out by the Municipal Corporation in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

He said that in this series, the foundation stone of a road was laid in Krishna Colony in Yamunanagar.

He instructed the MCYJ officials to complete the construction work as soon as possible and asked them to pay special attention to the quality of work. “Development works worth crores of rupees are being carried out in various areas of Yamunanagar. Development works will be done in several other colonies too,” said MLA Arora.

He appealed the general public to cooperate with the MCYJ officials in getting the development works done in their areas. He said the people should inform him immediately if the contractors compromised with the quality in development works.

“Compromise with quality will not be tolerated in development works at any cost,” said Arora.

He said the Central Government and Haryana Government were getting a number of development works done in public interest in the state. “The state government is keeping every section of the society in mind. Be it rural or urban areas, the government is working in the public interest everywhere,” said Arora.

He said all the approved colonies would be provided with paved streets, drains, sewerage and other basic facilities. He further added the MCYJ had invited tenders for development works worth crores of rupees. “As soon as the tenders are allotted, construction work will be started on several roads, streets, drains and other projects in the near future,” said Arora.
