No big-ticket project for state

Though no big-ticket announcement has been made in the Union Interim Budget for Haryana, ongoing projects, including AIIMS, Manethi (Jhajjar), found a mention in the budget as part of support to ongoing projects in the state.
Rlys to grant Rs 2,861 cr; Allocation 18 times more
Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Rs 2,861 crore would be spent as capital expenditure on various projects in Haryana in 2024-25. It is 18 times more than what was allocated in the years 2009-14.
Haryana’s mention came just thrice in the Budget.
AIIMS-Manethi is being supported under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSS).
However, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today announced that Rs 2,861 crore would be spent as capital expenditure on various projects in Haryana in 2024-25. It is 18 times more than what was allocated in the years 2009-14.
The amount will be spent on ROBs, RUBs, new lines and modernisation of stations. Vaishnaw also stated that 100 per cent electrification had been achieved in the state.
The new lines included Rohtak-Meham-Hansi (68.8 km), Jind-Sonepat (88.9 km), Rewari-Rohtak (81.26 km), Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-Firozpur Jhirka-Alwar (104 km), Yamunanagar-Chandigarh via Sadhaura, Narayangarh (91 km), Hisar-Sirsa via Agroha and Fatehabad (93 km) and Meerut-Panipat (104 km).
The doubling of lines included Ambala Cantt-Dappar (Phase-I), with new material modification of Dappar-Chandigarh (22.71 km), Panipat-Rohtak (71.4 km), and Asthal Bohar-Rewari (75.2 km).
