The residents of almost all residential colonies in Narwana town of Jind district have got iron grills erected around their houses by spending a huge amount of money just to protect themselves from monkeys. They tear of clothes put outside to keep these dry. Monkeys also enter houses and take away eatables. The elderly and children are scared to move out of their houses. The administration should take these monkeys away from the residential areas at the earliest.

Basic civic amenities missing
The streets in Vidhya Colony in the town have not been paved with bricks. Besides, there is no sewer line and water connection in the locality. We have been demanding basic civic amenities from the authorities for many months, but to no avail. We hope that the municipal council will take a note of the problems of the locality and initiate action.

Sewage overflow adds to woes
THE sewage overflow has left the bus stand in Hisar town inundated. The blockage of the sewerage system at the bus stand is a routine affair. The civic authorities should carry out maintenance and cleanliness of the sewerage system.
