MLA Rao Narbir orders recarpeting of Dhankot-Jhajjar road
State Industry and Environment Minister and Badshahpur MLA Rao Narbir reviewed the condition of the Dhankot-Jhajjar road and promised to get it redeveloped soon.
The Dhankot road is not just one of the most tattered roads in the city but also faces key crises of traffic congestion, waterlogging and blocked drains.
Residents have often complained about the poor condition of the road.
“The infrastructure development in Gurugram needs to be done at the grassroots level. The officials have been directed to prioritise the rapid recarpeting of the road. They have also been ensured to address the work related to sewerage and drainage. The road is a major link, connecting Gurugram with other districts of the state, leading to heavy traffic pressure on this road,” said Narbir. To avoid traffic jams in Dhankot village, he directed officials to make a special action plan. He further directed PWD, GMDA, and Municipal Corporation officers to hold a joint meeting and resolve the issue within a stipulated time frame.
He said the cleaning of drainage system in Dhankot should be done to prevent waterlogging on the roads and that the internal road passing through Dhankot and bypass road should be repaired without any delay. Besides this, he directed officers to resolve the waterlogging-related problem near Dhanwapur, with PWD officers assuring solution within a month.
