MLA Chiranjeev takes out march in Rewari
Rewari, August 31
Congress MLA Chiranjeev Rao took out a march in the city under its public contact campaign. The yatra was welcomed at various places.
While addressing a gathering at Vikas Nagar locality, Chiranjeev said all sections of society were fed up with the BJP government as it failed to live up to their expectations.
“Wherever I am going, everyone is fed up with the BJP government. People are being forced to take rounds of government office for getting their parivar pehchan patra, property ID rectified but no one is paying heed to them. Corruption is rampant in every department while inflation and unemployment have made life difficult for the people. That’s why, people are ready to show the mirror to the BJP in the Assembly poll,” said the MLA.
Chiranjiv said he had raised every problem of the city, yet the government did not pay any heed to it.
“The government is not concerned with the problems of the people. There is a lot of difference between what the BJP government says and what it does. The BJP launched a Swachhata Abhiyan but the BJP leaders get their photographs clicked with brooms for a day and then disappear. Similarly, in the last election, the BJP had promised to make Rewari Singapore but the condition of the city today is in front of everyone. On paper, the city of Rewari is free of stray animals but stray animals are still roaming on the roads,” he added.
Chiranjeev claimed that the city became waterlogged even after mild rain. “The residents are not getting adequate drinking water. Kalka and Lisana water tanks were built during the then Congress government but in the last 10 years, the BJP has not built even a single water tank,” he added.
