Minister Arti tells officials to resolve civic issues on priority

Haryana Health, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH Minister Arti Rao has directed district officials to resolve the issues pertaining to civic infrastructure on a priority.

The minister issued the directions at the first district grievances and redressal committee meeting held on Monday after the formation of new government in the state. The committee resolved eight grievances out of a total of 12 complaints included in the agenda.

While addressing the grievance of a resident of Sultanpur village, she asked the District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) to construct a drain in the village by January 1 next to ensure proper drainage of untreated civic waste.

She said the authorities should ensure speedy action on complaints related to civic issues. She asked the ADC to set up a committee to look into the complaint regarding the conversion of a cremation ground into a pond at Mamolaka village in the district.

Arti directed the officials concerned to resolve the complaints regarding dumping of waste in the open, lack of cleanliness and damaged roads in several parts of the city and the district.

She said complaints regarding delay in old age and other pensions in the district should be taken up on a priority. The officials were also asked to submit the status or compliance report of as many as four complaints in the next meeting.

Harinder Singh, MLA from Hodal, Raghubir Singh Tewatia, MLA from Prithla, Mohammad Israel, MLA from Hathin, DC Dr. Harish Kumar Vashisht, SP Chandramohan and ADC Akhil Pilani, were among those present in the meeting.
