Meeting of retired college principals, teachers body held in Yamunanagar
A meeting of Retired College Principals and Teachers Federation (RCPTF) of Yamunanagar zone was held at DAV Girls College, Yamunanagar, on Sunday.
The meeting was jointly chaired by chief guests retired principals Dr Sushma Arya and Dr Ujjwal Sharma. The stage was conducted by Dr Dalbir Singh.
On the occasion, Dr KR Bhardwaj, convener of the organising committee of RCPTF of Yamunanagar zone, said at present, the number of federation members of Yamunanagar zone had increased to 82.
Treasurer Dr Arvind Jain presented the account statement in the house, which was passed unanimously.
State general secretary of the federation Dr PR Tyagi said all physical units were constituted in different districts and with results more than 750 members were registered.
The state president of the federation, Dr Dile Ram Chaudhary, said the government should implement pension from the treasury and medical facilities to the retired employees of government-aided colleges on par with their counterparts of government colleges.
As per the agenda decided in the meeting, the office-bearers of Yamunanagar zone were elected.
In which Dr Dalbir Singh was unanimously elected as the president, Dr Sharda Sharma as the vice-president, Dr Nirmal Singh as the secretary, Dr Vishav Prabha as the joint secretary and Dr Arvind Jain as the treasurer.
Along with this, 10 members were unanimously nominated in the executive of the zone.
The house in one voice unanimously elected former principal Dr Sushma Arya as chief patron and Dr KR Bhardwaj as the patron of Yamunanagar zone.
In her presidential address, Dr Ujjwal Sharma appreciated the efforts of the federation and gave suggestions to strengthen it.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests and members by Dr GB Gupta, Dr SK Garg, Dr SM Arora, Dr SB Dixit, Pradeep Sharma Snehi, Dr B Madan Mohan and Hukum Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Dr Saroj Kumari, Dr KP Singh, Dr Rajiv Bhandari, Dr Jagpal, Saroj Rathaur and others were present.
