MC to undertake beautification of parks in Y'nagar, Jagadhri

The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), will undertake maintenance and beautification works of public parks in the twin cities.

Besides deploying supervisors and gardeners in every park for maintenance and beautification works, the MCYJ has also issued helpline numbers to solve every kind of problem related to the parks.

The work of about 50 parks is being looked after by park associations.

However, the maintenance and beautification works of about 48 parks are being done by the MCYJ.

“We are working to improve the beautification work of parks in twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri. We have deployed supervisors and gardeners in every park for the maintenance and beautification work of the parks,” said Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha.

He said that now, the MCYJ had issued helpline numbers to solve every kind of problem related to the parks of twin cities.

“Now, residents of the twin cities can contact the MC on helpline numbers 9991561360 and 8950513817 to get problems related to parks redressed,” said Ayush Sinha.

He said that after getting complaints on the helpline numbers, MC officials would solve the problems as soon as possible.

“Besides helpline numbers, the MCYJ has also made public the numbers of the gardeners of every park. In case of any problem in the park, residents can also contact them,” said Sinha.

Junior Engineer Satpal has been made the in-charge from Wards 1 to 11 and Junior Engineer Abhishek Sharma from Wards 12 to 22 for the maintenance of parks.

The MCYJ is giving Rs 5 per square meter to park associations as maintenance expenses.

Sinha further said that all parks of twin cities were being beautified.

He said that open gyms had been installed in many parks and were making efforts to keep every park green and beautiful.

Sinha further said that if the problem was not resolved after receiving the complaint on the helpline numbers, then action would be taken against the concerned supervisors.
