Rohtak, August 31

JJP national president Ajay Singh Chautala has stated that his party would contest the elections along with the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram), and the option to join hands with other parties were also open. He, however, maintained that the JJP would have no alliance with the Congress or BJP.

Ajay Chautala, who was in Rohtak to attend a workers’ meeting, alleged that the BJP had betrayed them, while the Congress had hatched a conspiracy to get him and his father sent to jail.

“Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is hand in glove with the BJP. It is clear from the fact that the Congress did not field any candidate for the Rajya Sabha to facilitate the election of the BJP nominee. Likewise, the BJP leaves the floor for Hooda when he requires,” the JJP leader remarked while talking to newspersons on Saturday.

He asserted that the JJP would give the maximum ticket to women and youth among all parties in Haryana.

“The JJP manifesto will focus on the interests of the poor, farmers and workers,” he stated. Responding to a question, Ajay Chautala maintained that the old-age pension was started by his grandfather Devi Lal and the JJP had got it increased substantially as an alliance partner in the BJP-JJP regime.

“Now, Hooda is making hollow promises of increasing the old-age pension. The people should not get misled as such leaders can only grab the land of innocent farmers and give it to big industrialists,” said the JJP leader. The party in-charge for Rohtak district Hargyan Mokhra and district president Dr Sandeep Hooda also addressed the meeting.
