Man nabbed for rape

The police have arrested a youth in connection with an incident of rape and for making the video and photos of the incident viral.

A police official said the accused, identified as Muntasir Khan, a resident of Gautambudh Nagar of UP, had raped the victim who had been working in a company here. It was claimed that the accused, who befriended the victim while working in the company last year, came to her house and committed the crime when she was alone.

It was alleged that the accused got the photos and video of the victim at the time of incident in order to blackmail her for maintaining physical relations.

The police registered a case last week and managed to arrest the accused two days ago from his house in UP. He was remanded in judicial custody after initial interrogation, it was claimed.
