Man held for murdering brother-in-law in Gurugram

The Gurugram police finally arrested the accused who murdered his brother-in-law and set the body on fire in Sector 15 area on July 19. The accused confessed that he killed his brother-in-law because he was not treating his sister well and harassing her.
According to the police, the accused was arrested from Sector 29 last night. The accused was identified as Rajesh, alias Chotu (21), a resident of Hatna village in Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh. The accused confessed that after committing the murder, he had set the body on fire by pouring turpentine oil.
Gorelal, alias Halla, a 32-year-old mason, was a native of Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh. His burnt body was found in the gallery on the ground floor of a newly constructed house in Sector 15 in the wee hours of July 19. The police suspected his brother-in-law, whom he had come to meet and was absconding. An FIR has been registered at the Civil Lines police station and the accused was finally arrested last night.
“The arrested accused revealed that his brother-in-law Gorelal used to harass his sister and did not provide medicines to his sick sister. On the night of July 18, he drank alcohol with his brother-in-law in the house located in Sector 15, where he used to work as a watchman. When Gorelal became intoxicated, he strangled him to death. After committing the murder, he poured turpentine oil on Gorelal’s body and fled away after setting it on fire,”a police official said.
“The accused Rajesh has been arrested and we are questioning him. He confessed to the murder,” Civil Lines police station SHO Arvind Kumar said.
Act of revenge
The arrested accused revealed that his brother-in-law Gorelal used to harass his sister and did not provide medicines to her when she fell sick. On the night of July 18, he drank alcohol with Gorelal and strangled him to death. — A police official, Civil Lines police station
