The Gurugram police have arrested a person for killing his brother-in-law after a fight broke out between them while they were in an inebriated condition at Noorpur village in the Bilaspur police station area. The police have seized the stick used in the crime from the possession of the accused.

According to the complaint filed by Ajay, a resident of Bas Padamka village, he had taken seven-and-a-half acres of land from Dharamveer of Noorpur village on lease and had hired Govind Manjhi, a resident of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, and Ajay Manjhi of Sitamarhi for farming purpose. Govind was Ajay Manjhi brother-in-law.

“It was on the night of December 1, Ajay was watering his fields when both Govind and Ajay Manjhi indulged in a fight in an inebriated condition. I asked them to calm down, but at around 10.30 pm, they again started fighting. I saw Govind thrashing Ajay Manjhi. Ajay was bleeding and when I reached, Govind ran away. I rushed Ajay Manjhi to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” said Ajay in his complaint.
