Man found dead under mysterious circumstances

A 66-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a rented room near Chaneti village of Yamunanagar district. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar.

His family suspect Rakesh was murdered. In a complaint to the police, Karan of Buria said he and his brother lived with their mother in a rented room in Buria. He said their father lived alone in a rented room near Chaneti village, situated close to Jagadhri due to a family feud. He said he received information regarding the body of his father lying at the rented room yesterday. He said that he went there and saw the body of their father lying on the floor of the room. He said there was blood around.

“We feel that our father was killed by someone,” the complainant told the police.

A case was registered against unidentified persons at city police station, Jagadhri. Ajay Kumar, investigating officer, said that after the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the kin on Friday. He said the exact cause of death would be known after the post-mortem report is released.
