“I gave them documents of my wife and our son and Rs 15 lakh in different instalments to them,” the complainant told the police.

He said they told him that they first sent his son to Canada and after that they would send his wife.

“When my son went to the Mumbai airport to catch a flight to Canada on April 1, 2024, the airport authorities told him that his documents related to the visa were fake and he couldn’t go to Canada,” the complainant told the police.

He said now they were not returning their money.

He alleged that they threatened him with dire consequences when he demanded his money back.

On the complaint of Shaukat Ali of Bibipur village of Yamunanagar district, a case was registered against Ankit, Narinder, both residents of Charkhi Dadri district, and Vinay Chahal of Bhiwani district at the Buria police station.
