Man arrested for murder after alcohol-fuelled brawl in Gurugram

The police have arrested a man from Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, in connection with the murder of Shiv Kumar, a resident of Kadarpur village. The victim, aged 35, died on December 18 after being found unconscious near a cremation ground in Kadarpur on December 6.

Shiv Kumar’s brother had reported him missing after he went to Gurugram on December 5 and failed to return home. The following morning, Shiv Kumar was discovered with injuries to his head and body, raising suspicions of foul play. His brother filed a complaint, prompting an investigation and the eventual registration of a murder case.

The police arrested Charat Singh, who admitted to having an alcohol-fuelled argument with Shiv Kumar. During the altercation, Singh struck the victim with a stone before fleeing the scene. The police continue to question the accused.
