Main shooter in triple murder case held
The Rohtak police have arrested the main shooter in connection with the triple murder case that took place near a liquor vend near Baliyana village in the district a couple of months ago.
The arrested person, identified as Paras, carried a reward of Rs 25,000.
The ASP, YVR Sashi Shekhar, said five youths were shot at in the incident which took place on September 20. Of them, three were declared dead by the doctors.
The deceased included Amit, alias Monu, Jaideep and Vinay of Bohar village in the district.
The police have arrested Paras of Jasrana village and living at ITI Gate, Kailash Colony Road, Sonepat.
The Rohtak police had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 and Sonepat police a reward of Rs 20,000 on Paras, who had a criminal record.
"Paras was involved in eight cases of attempt to murder and possession of illegal weapons etc," the ASP said.
The arrested youth was produced before a local court, which remanded him in police custody for six days.
