Archana Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University, said that knowledge increased by sharing and everyone got knowledge through books, which was why books were the best companions in one's life.

Mishra, as the chief guest, inaugurated the two-day biannual library fair at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) at Murthal and Shri Prakash Singh, Vice-Chancellor (VC), DCRUST, presided over the programme.

Over 40 stalls have been put up at the book fair. Special collections have been brought keeping in mind the courses of science and technology.

The VC said that books were like guides and teachers. "Reading books brings qualitative changes in our personality, he said.

“Books are available to us whenever we need and these help us understand the world around us, to decide what's right and what's wrong,” Mishra added.

He said books were helpful in focusing on one's goal and achieving it in time.

“Many of us have the habit of reading books in free time or before sleeping as reading also helps in overcoming unwanted stress,” he said.
