Kurukshetra, Spanish universities to organise exchange programmes

All India University Association (AIU) has signed an agreement with Spain’s Crue Universidades Espanolas. Crue is the main interlocutor of Spanish universities with the Central Government in all normative developments affecting higher education in Spain.
Under this agreement, Kurukshetra University will organise research, faculty and student exchange programmes with Spanish universities. This was announced by Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva after returning from visiting Spanish universities as a member of the Indian delegation. He said a delegation of Vice-Chancellors of various Indian universities had gone to visit Spanish universities for a week.
Under the aegis of AIU, a meeting was held at Barcelona among the vice-chancellors of over 20 universities of India with the vice-chancellors of 25 universities of Spain, including Vigo University, Barcelona University, University Abat Oliba CEU, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Polytechnic University Catalonia, UIC Barcelona, Obrial Global IE University, Madrid University, Valladolid University and reached this historic agreement.
Deputy Director Public Relations of Kurukshetra University Jimmy Sharma said Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva, as a member of the Indian delegation, discussed in detail about research, faculty and student exchange programme with the faculty of many universities of Spain from July 7 to 11. In the coming days, Kurukshetra University will sign MoUs with the universities of Spain. KU will prepare the outline of research and faculty students exchange programme. This will give special recognition to students and teachers of Kurukshetra University at the global level and the Spanish faculty will also benefit in the research field.
