Kuldeep Bishnoi steps down as patron of Bishnoi Mahasabha
Former Hisar MP and BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, who is the patron of the All-India Bishnoi Mahasabha, a social organisation representing the Bishnoi community, resigned from his post on Sunday.
Bishnoi sent the resignation letter to Peethadheeshwar Swami Ramanand and announced it on social media. He appointed Peethadheeshwar as the new patron and also formed a 29-member committee for conducting the elections of the Bishnoi Mahasabha.
Bishnoi served as patron for 12 years. He was nominated as the patron of the All-India Bishnoi Mahasabha after the demise of his father and former CM Bhajan Lal.
In a social media post, he said he was relinquishing the post due to personal reasons. “I express my gratitude to all saints and people of society who expressed faith in me,” he stated.
Notably, Bishnoi family suffered a setback in the recently held Assembly elections when Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi, lost his pocket borough Adampur Assembly to Chander Prakash from the Congress.
