The Department of Economics, Kurukshetra University, in collaboration with Indian Economic Association (IEA), will organise 107th annual conference on “Sustainable, developed and atmanirbhar Bharat”. The three-day annual conference would be organised from December 27 to 29.

Kurukshetra University Vice Chancellor (VC) Som Nath Sachdeva said, “The objective of the Indian Economic Association is to provide a forum for debate and discussion of theoretical and policy oriented issues of the economic science. It is a matter of pride for the university to organise 107th Indian Economic Association’s annual conference. The theme and sub themes of this conference are relevant in today’s time. I believe that discussions will create a bridge between Indian economic policies and the self-reliant India model.”

Conference organising secretary, Prof Ashok Kumar and conference convener, Prof Sanjeev Bansal said, “Various technical sessions on sub themes like transforming towards sustainable agriculture, contemporary challenges and opportunities before Indian industries, education, skills and employment, India’s demography and development, environment and sustainable development, contemporary issues and challenges in India, fiscal and monetary policy, challenges before the Indian economy and a special session on Haryana economy will be held during this conference.”

Several professors and directors of various institutions would attend the conference, they said.
