Khattar: Saini’s 2-month work more than Cong’s in 10 years
Former Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar praised the two-month tenure of CM Nayab Singh Saini and said he had surpassed the number of works done during the 10-year tenure of the Congress government. “CM Saini has accomplished 126 works, surpassing the number of works done by the Congress in its tenure of 10 years,” said Khattar on the sideline of the filing of nomination papers of party’s Assandh candidate Yogendra Rana and Nilokheri candidate Bhagwandas Kabirpanthi. Both candidates held rallies and took out roadshows before filing their nomination papers.
While interacting with mediapersons, Khattar claimed that not only the party’s candidate would win in Karnal district, but also across the state. “The BJP will form the government for the third consecutive term,” Khattar added.
Rana’s roadshow began at the BJP office at the Assandh Anaj Mandi and moved through the main streets of the city before reaching the nomination centre, with hundreds of supporters by his side. The party workers welcomed Yogendra Rana with garlands and great enthusiasm. Amid the beats of drums and chants of victory, the BJP supporters reached the nomination venue.
Khattar took a dig at 10-year tenure of the Congress, and claimed that jobs were sold during their tenure. “Under the Congress regime, corruption was rampant in the name of jobs, but during the BJP government, jobs are being given without ‘parchai and kharchi’(recommendation and bribe). Our government has given jobs on merit basis,” said Khattar.
He further highlighted key welfare initiatives of the BJP government, such as pension for the elderly and the issuance of Ayushman cards. In response to the Opposition’s demands for accountability, Manohar Lal said, “Our accountability lies with the people, and the people will not seek answers but will give their verdict.”
Yogendra Rana said, “I will always be thankful for the love and blessings that the people have showered on me by turning out in such large numbers for the nomination.” “Every single vote is precious to me. I urge everyone to come out in large numbers and ensure that the lotus blooms once again in Assandh,” said the BJP candidate from Assandh.
Kabirpanthi expressed his gratitude to Union Minister Khattar and said, “The people of Haryana are happy with the development works being carried out during the tenure of the BJP and they have made up their minds to elect the BJP government once again in the state.”
