Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh on Wednesday and lodged a formal complaint against officials who had worked for Congress candidate Sumita Singh during the recently concluded Assembly elections. He said these officials compromised the impartiality expected of them during the election process.

“I met the CM and raised my concerns about the biased behaviour shown by more than five officials. I have provided evidence, including call recordings and chat transcripts,” said Anand.

The MLA emphasised that such conduct is unacceptable and called for strict action against the accused officials. “Such officials should have been unbiased during elections for maintaining public trust,” he said, adding the CM has assured him that allegations would be thoroughly investigated.
