JJP-ASP alliance releases manifesto, promises to buy all crops at MSP
The Jannayak Janta Party-Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) alliance on Sunday released its poll manifesto for the Haryana Assembly poll, promising to procure all crops at MSP, unemployment allowance of Rs 11,000 and old age pension of Rs 5,100 per month.
Every grain and crop grown in Haryana will be procured at MSP, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala told reporters in Sirsa while releasing the JJP-ASP manifesto.
The alliance also promised Rs 25,000 per acre compensation for crop damage and the ‘Jannayak Fasal Suraksha Scheme’ in which premium amount would be borne by the state government. Other promises include Rs 11,000 unemployment allowance per month and Rs 5,100 old age pension every month.
Announcing sops for students, the alliance said students from rural areas would be given extra weightage in jobs and admission to higher education.
Only Rs 100 would be charged as one-time fee for applying for all recruitments, as per the manifesto, which the two allies named as “Jansewa Patr”.
A scooty would be given to girls of poor families who have passed Class 12 and student union elections would be conducted every year, he said.
The alliance also promised to make arrangements for higher education of Agniveers.
Seeking to woo women, the manifesto promises that one lakh women would be given government jobs.
A hostel would be built for working women in Gurugram while an international training centre for food processing and technology would be built in Fatehabad. Pregnant women would get Rs 5,000 per month for healthcare and food.
Fifty per cent reservation would be done for women in teaching posts at all educational institutions and 33 per cent reservation at allocation of stores of the Cooperative Department.
A research centre for Artificial Intelligence would be constructed in Panchkula and Bhiwani would be developed as an Education City. The manifesto promises to set up digital library in every village.
Purchase of two wheelers would be made tax free on the lines of tractor. Youth from poor families would get Rs 3 lakh interest free loan to set up their business.
With an eye on promoting sports, the alliance said an international sports stadium would be built in Jhajjar while a kabaddi stadium would come up in Sonipat, besides setting up of shooting range in four districts.
Industrial areas would be established in every district, which would provide employment to one lakh youngsters, said Chautala, who released the manifesto in presence of ASP leader Chandra Shekhar Azad.
Three per cent reservation for disabled and handicapped and appointment in home districts would be made. Further, a backward class welfare centre would be built in every district and Ambedkar Hostels would be constructed in every sub-division.
He said the Ambedkar Awas Yojana would be started under which the BPL and SC families would get 100 square yard plots and money for constructing houses.
The alliance pledged to restore old pension scheme of government employees.
In the health sector, a mobile dispensary would be started in every block and generic medicine shop would be opened in every village. The alliance also promised to set up a modern film city in Hisar.
