International Gita Conference comes to a close at Kurukshetra varsity

KU Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva welcomes Swami Gyananand on the concluding ceremony of International Gita Conference in Kurukshetra on Saturday.

The three-day 9th International Gita Conference on ‘Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Sustainable Ecosystem’, jointly organised by Kurukshetra University (KU) and Kurukshetra Development Board Haryana, concluded on

Saturday.

Swami Gyananand, who was the chief guest of valedictory ceremony, said, “The conference was a medium to churn the real essence of the Gita by deep contemplation and experiencing oneness with God. Gita is an endless ocean of wisdom pearls and jewels which can be attained by concentration and focus.”

KU Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva said everyone should imbibe the values of the Gita in life to give selflessly for the welfare of society, to experience inner peace by being stoic, true and by having acceptability of all circumstances. Gita is philosophy of life and every person must read the Gita in their life.

48 Kos Tirtha Monitoring Committee chairperson Madan Mohan Chhabra also addressed the gathering on the occasion.

The report of the conference was released and the awards for best research papers of the technical sessions and poster presentations were distributed.
