INLD-BSP fields Devi Lal’s grandson Aditya Chautala from Dabwali

Aditya Chautala, 45, grandson of former deputy prime minister Devi Lal on Sunday quit the BJP to join the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in Dabwali town of Sirsa district in the presence of INLD general secretary and his cousin brother Abhay Chautala.

Abhay announced to nominate Aditya as candidate of the INLD-BSP alliance from Dabwali assembly constituency. He is set to contest against his nephew Digvijay Chautala who is great grandson of Devi Lal. The Congress has also renominated Amit Sihag who is also a member of the extended family of Devi Lal.

Aditya had contested the 2019 assembly election on the BJP ticket but lost the poll to Amit Sihag of the Congress. According to sources, the BJP is unlikely to field him from Dabwali in this election after which he resigned from the party

He had also resigned from the post of chairperson of the Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board.
