Kalyan Singh Chauhan, an Independent candidate from Sohna, has made a final appeal to voters, urging them to stop giving chances to political parties. Accusing both the Congress and BJP of pushing Haryana down the drain and promoting corruption, Chauhan has asked people not to be deceived again. A former BJP leader, Chauhan is contesting as an Independent after being denied a party ticket.

“The political parties have chosen crime. Sohna is the golden goose of Gurugram, but it’s plagued by criminal activities. Ask the traders here what they endure. Both the Congress and BJP have selected candidates with questionable backgrounds. Traders want protection from extortion gangs shielded by political parties, and I will provide that security,” said Chauhan.

Beyond business safety, Chauhan placed significant emphasis on women’s security, particularly for young girls attending schools and colleges in the area. He vowed to implement stronger safety measures in public spaces and institutions, aiming to create a safer environment for students and working women.

His campaign also includes a commitment to rooting out corruption in the tehsil offices and municipal administration of Sohna-Tauru, where he plans to introduce transparency and accountability in local governance.

Addressing the issue of infrastructure, Chauhan promised to focus on developing Sohna and Tauru into modern towns with improved civic amenities. He highlighted the problem of waterlogging in Sohna and pledged to resolve it by upgrading drainage systems and ensuring better stormwater management. Schools, colleges and hospitals are also part of his development plan, with Chauhan committing to enhance these essential services in the region.
