Hisar: A 25-year-old shopkeeper, Sonu, was shot dead by four assailants while sitting inside his shop at Bugana village on Hisar district on Thursday. The attackers, who fled the scene, approached Sonu after arriving on two motorcycles, asking for a cold drink. As he fetched the bottle, they shot him with three bullets. Sonu was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Shocked by the incident, villagers blocked the Hisar-Chandigarh highway, demanding immediate action. Sonu had been married just six months ago. The police, along with forensic experts, arrived at the scene and began the investigation.
