In Brief: Two killed in accidents

Yamunanagar: Two persons were killed in separate accidents in Yamunanagar district. Babu Ram of Kait village was returning home from Jagadhri, when his motorcycle was hit by a car. He succumbed to his injuries. In another incident, a car allegedly hit Vijay of Garhi Mundo village in Jagadhri. Sanjay Kumar told the police that he took his brother to a hospital where he was declared dead.

One held for making hooch

Bhiwani: The Bhiwani police have arrested an accused in the case of manufacturing of hooch in Seepar village of the district. The police team recovered 65 bottles of illicit liquor, 80 litres of laahan and material used for making illicit liquor from the spot. The police team had received information about an illegal liquor furnace inside the accused’s room in a field at Seepar. The team raided the site and arrested the accused, Sumer Singh, for making illegal liquor.
