Yamunanagar: A man was allegedly duped of ~8.37 lakh in the name of making investment in share market. On the complaint of Munish Malhotra of Jagadhri, a case was registered against five persons — Lovesh Goel of Jagadhri, his wife Deepika, Deepak Thakur, Sanjay Verma of Delhi and Vikesh Kumar of Noida, at City police station, Jagadhri, on Monday. The complainant said he had a showroom at a mall in Jagadhri, where Lovesh and his wife used to come for shopping. “I got to know them, and with the connivance of three others, the duo took ~8.37 lakh from me and supposedly invested it in the share market. When asked they did not return the money,” he said.

Shop sealed in Sirsa

Sirsa: The authorities have intensified their crackdown on those involved in the business of fake firms. A shop at Bhadra Bazaar, linked to the racket, was sealed by the Noida police. The crackdown has come in the wake of ongoing investigations into fraudulent activities. The shop was sealed as part of a broader effort to clamp down on tax evasion and financial fraud.
