Several illegal structures in two unauthorised colonies being developed on 14.11 acres were demolished by a team from the office of the District Town Planner (DTP) at Myna village near the Rohtak-Hisar outer bypass in the district.

As per an official statement issued by Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, two under-construction buildings, five DPCs, eight electric poles and WBM as well as dirt road networks were razed during the demolition drive.

A police team was present on the occasion along with the officials from the DTP office to prevent any untoward incident. “Such operations are conducted by the department on a regular basis,” said District Town Planner (DTP) Sumandeep. She advised residents not to invest their hard-earned money in illegal constructions or unauthorised colonies.

“The residents can visit the DTP office on any working day to verify whether a building/colony is authorised or not before investing their money in it,” she said.
