Illegal arms repair hideout raided in Nuh, one arrested
A team of the Punhana CIA raided an illegal arms repair hideout near Andhaki village here and arrested one person. Five illegal weapons, cartridges and tools to repair old weapons were seized. An FIR was registered against the accused at the Punhana police station.
According to a spokesperson of the Nuh police, a CIA team led by Inspector Sandeep Mor received information that Abdullah, a resident of the village, was standing at the Gheeda turn with illegal weapons meant for sale. The CIA team conducted a raid and arrested the accused. During the search, a countrymade pistol was seized from him.
During interrogation, Abdullah could not give a satisfactory answer regarding the possession of the weapon. The accused revealed that he was involved in repairing and selling old illegal weapons. The police took him to his hideout from where three pistols, five cartridges, one revolver, one pistol, weapon making tools, including one screw, garter piece, tripod iron, small cylinder, pliers, screwdriver, grinder cutter, chisel, two gas pumps, countrymade cord, lower body, covered wooden gun and drill machine were seized.
“We are questioning the accused and will be taken on police remand after being produced in a city court,” added the police spokesperson.
