Home Minister Amit Shah must scrap Agnipath scheme: Deepender Hooda
Yamunanagar, July 16
Congress leader and MP Deepender Hooda today claimed that people of Haryana had reduced the BJP to half in the Lok Sabha elections and would wipe it out in the state Assembly poll in October.
He stated this during a padyatra in the Yamunanagar Assembly segment on the second day of Congress’ Haryana Maange Hisaab campaign in the state. Attacking the BJP, Deepender said BJP ministers at the Centre came to the state only after seeking votes for the past 10 years. They should also go by giving something to Haryana. “Today, the Home Minister has come to Haryana. He must at least cancel the Agnipath scheme and announce the formation of an Ahir regiment,” he said, adding that, the Home Minister should explain why the portal and family IDs were not implemented in Gujarat, like they were in Haryana.
“The state BJP ministers should explain why Yamunanagar is in such a poor state in 10 years of BJP rule. Why has the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation become a hub of corruption?” he asked.
On unemployment, Deepender said in response to his question, the Government of India said Haryana had the highest unemployment in the country. Deepender said he had only one goal — to focus on the youth and uphold the slogan of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Samvidhan’. “We will fight the battle to take Haryana forward and will win,” he stated. The padyatra was joined by Ambala MP Varun Chaudhary, among other leaders.
