Home Guard kills self

Naveen Kumar, a Home Guard posted at the IMT Manesar police station here, allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself from the ceiling fan of a room inside the police station, sources in the local police confirmed here today.

When his colleagues went to the room to wake him up in the afternoon, the door did not open. Upon breaking the door, his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan.He was posted on night duty at the police station.

As per the details available, Kumar was a resident of Bawania village of Mahendragarh district. He was posted in the police station for several months. The local police sent the body to the Civil Hospital for postmortem examination. The reason behind his death could not be ascertained.
