Jhajjar, February 20

A woman was hit by a mini truck on the Rohtak road in Bahadurgarh town here on Tuesday. The driver managed to flee from the spot. The deceased, identified as Reena Devi of Jharkhand, was residing with her family at the Arya Nagar locality in Bahadurgarh. The police have registered a case and started a probe on the complaint of the deceased’s son, Vipin Kumar.

Vipin said the mishap took place when he was going to drop his mother on foot to her workplace. “The vehicle, bearing a registration number of Punjab, hit my mother. She was rushed to the Civil hospital in Bahadurgarh but doctors declared her dead,” he said.
