Hit by car, woman, child in lap killed
A woman riding pillion on a bike with her one-and-a-half-year-old child in her lap died, while her husband was seriously injured after being hit by a car in the Sohna Sadar police station area in Gurugram on Friday.
The car driver managed to flee with his vehicle from the spot. The police have registered a case against the car driver and started investigation.

A senior police officer after conducting the post-mortem of the bodies of the deceased woman and her child, they handed over the bodies to the relatives.
According to the police, the deceased were identified as Zahida (28), resident of Uleta village and her son Riyan Khan. The accident took place at around 11 am when Zahida was returning from Silani Chowk to her village on the bike with her husband. Zahida was carrying her son in her lap. On the way, a speeding car hit the bike from behind due to which Zahida and her child got seriously injured, while her husband was also injured. They were rushed to hospital where doctors declared Zahida and her child dead.
“An FIR was registered against the car driver and he will be arrested soon,” said inspector Jagjit Singh, Station House Officer of Sohna sadar police station.
