HAU to hold Agriculture Officer Workshop on rabi crop on November 12-13
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, is going to organisea two-day Agriculture Officer Workshop (Rabi) 2024 on November 12 and 13 at the auditorium of College of Agriculture.
The workshop will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof BR Kamboj, while Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry Dairy Department, Haryana Government and Vice-Chancellor, LUVAS, Hisar Dr Raja Shekhar Vundru, will be present as the special guest.
The two-day workshop to be organised by the Directorate of Extension Education of the university will be attended by scientists of the university and officers of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
Director of Extension Education, Dr Balwan Singh Mandal said at the workshop, the recommendation based on the new technologies to be implemented on the crops of the upcoming rabi season will be finalised. Apart from this, scientists and officials of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare will also discuss the solutions to the problems in rabi crops. Agricultural officers will also visit the university research farm where research and trials are being done on crops, fruits and vegetables. He said various technical sessions would be organised during the workshop in which overall recommendations for various crops would also be discussed.
