Haryana Roadways to get 650 more buses: Anil Vij
Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij today said that in a bid to boost the public transport system, the state government would soon add 650 buses to the Haryana Roadways fleet. Vij said the new buses, procured for the convenience of passengers, would include 150 AC buses.
He said approval for the purchase would be sought in the upcoming High-Powered Purchase Committee meeting. The buses would meet environmental standards to help curb pollution and be equipped with BS-6 standard engines.
He said since assuming the charge of Transport Minister, he had directed the officers concerned to ensure that all bus terminals in the state were well-maintained so that passengers faced no inconvenience.
The government was especially focused on ensuring that the passengers received all basic amenities and had adequate seating arrangements at bus terminals, said Vij.
