Haryana polls: PM Modi to address public rally at Gohana today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Gohana’s HUDA ground on Wednesday to give a boost to the BJP’s campaign ahead of the Assembly elections on October 5.
According to political experts, Gohana falls in the middle of five districts including Sonepat, Rohtak, Panipat, Jind and Jhajjar — a part of Deswali belt and it is also considered to be the strong bastion of former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The PM will try to woo the voters from Gohana in support of 22 BJP candidates fielded in the state.
Notably, Modi had addressed the public rally at the same venue on May 18 during the Lok Sabha election this year.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made at the venue. DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor along with ADGP CID Alok Mittal, Sonepat Police Commissioner Satender Gupta, DC Manoj Kumar, among other officers, visited the venue on Tuesday evening to review the security arrangements.
BJP’s state chief Mohan Lal Badoli said all preparations have been made to welcome PM Modi, who would address the ‘Jan Ashirwad Rally’.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, 22 party candidates, five district presidents from Sonepat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind, along with senior party leaders would be present at the rally, said party’s Sonepat district president Jasbir Dodwa.
