Haryana, August 27

The Full Election Commission on Tuesday reserved orders on BJP and INLD’s demand to advance Haryana elections beyond October 1. The BJP and INLD have argued that a long weekend would deter and dampen voting spirit.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and election commissioners Dhananjay Kumar and SS Sandhu met to discuss the issue and have reserved orders.
