Tourism and Cooperative Minister Dr Arvind Sharma has advised Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to remain cautious from those BJP leaders or workers who either quit the party during the Assembly elections or worked against the party’s interest clandestinely at that time. “We have no objection if they want to join the party again, but they would have to raise slogans in favour of the CM selflessly for atleast one year. Then, we will think that such leaders should be taken into the party fold or not,” said Sharma at a function in Gohana.

Lobbying for MC poll tickets

Karnal: With the recent Assembly elections concluding in favour of the BJP, activities have quickly shifted toward the upcoming civic body elections. Aspirants have started lobbying for the BJP ticket for mayor and councillors by approaching senior leaders. Though the election dates are yet to be declared, political circles are abuzz with hectic activities. Aspirants have begun reaching out to local leaders, community influencers and party officials to strengthen their case.

No homecoming for BJP deserters

Kurukshetra: BJP leader and former Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha, who lost the Assembly poll, slammed the people who left the party during the elections and announced that they would not be allowed to rejoin the party. During an event, while expressing gratitude to the party workers, Sudha said “During the elections, Congress leaders created an atmosphere and threatened people with action if they voted for the BJP, but the party has formed its government for the third time in Haryana. I am grateful to party workers and supporters who fought the election bravely and didn’t get afraid. But those who left the party during the elections will not be allowed to rejoin the BJP at any cost.”

Ranjit to resume monthly meeting

Hisar: Former minister Ranjit Singh, who lost both the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls, will resume his monthly meeting at the PWD Rest House from November 5. It has been his routine to interact with his supporters on the fifth of every month for about two decades. When he was the Power Minister in the previous BJP government, his monthly meetings drew huge crowd as he used to redress the grievances of the public. Ranjit Singh, however, now again has decided to resume the meeting. Even before he was minister, he used to hold these meetings regularly. Let’s see the response of people in the meeting on November 5.
