CM Nayab Singh Saini accuses Congress of exploiting Dalits
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has alleged that the Congress views Dalits solely as a vote bank and has a history of being anti-Dalit. Speaking to reporters in Rohtak today, Saini claimed that the Congress has consistently insulted prominent Dalit leaders, including Dr BR Ambedkar, Babu Jagjeevan Ram, Sita Ram Kesri, Ashok Tanwar, and Kumari Selja.
Saini visited Rohtak to attend a programme where members of the Brahmin community pledged their support to BJP.
He stated that Selja expressed her desire for the party ticket from Uklana but was rebuffed by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who allegedly cannot tolerate a Dalit as chief minister. “Hooda prioritises promoting his son over empowering Dalits,” Saini said.
He criticised Hooda, saying he’s anti-Dalit, and wouldn’t hesitate to dismiss state Congress president Udai Bhan if he expressed interest in becoming the chief minister. “Currently, the Congress has a mother-son duo at the Centre and a father-son duo in Haryana,” Saini noted. “Hooda’s stability depended on pleasing his son-in-law, Robert Vadra. He’d seize farmers’ land to appease his bosses, but now his influence has waned.”
Regarding Kejriwal, Saini said, “Kejriwal emerged from jail like a don, neck-deep in corruption. Instead of spreading lies in Haryana, he should advise his Punjab government to buy farmers’ crops at MSP, like Haryana does.”
