Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar flags off bus to Ayodhya

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the state government has launched Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana, under which pilgrims will be taken to Ayodhya, Harmandir Sahib, Takht Harimandir Patna Sahib and Kashi Vishwanath. The government has started a portal and will provide free travel facility to registered pilgrims. Around 700 pilgrims have already registered on the portal.
He was interacting with mediapersons after flagging off a bus of devotees from Karnal to Ayodhya, started under the yojana today.
Besides, portals will gradually open for other pilgrimage sites so that those interested in visiting other places can register. Currently, the facility is being provided free of cost for those earning less than Rs 1.80 lakh per annum and for people over 60 years of age. However, there are requests from many people to provide the same facilities to others as well by charging some amount.
“There was a struggle of 500 years to build a temple at the birthplace of Lord Rama in Ayodhya, but finally, on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in the newly built Ram Temple, enhancing the glory of the country,” the CM said.
He said people wanted to visit Ayodhya and see the temple, so the government has launched the yojana. As many as 52 devotees were taken to Ayodhya in the inaugural bus. The devotees will stay overnight in Lucknow, where arrangements for their meals have been made, and then they will visit the Ram Temple. After another overnight stay in Lucknow, the devotees will return to Karnal on March 8. Similarly, buses and trains from different places can also be booked if there is a larger number of devotees.
On the call given by farmers of ‘rail roko’ and the demand of MSP, the CM said there was no such programme in Haryana. “We provide MSP for 14 crops in the state,” he said.
On the second list of the BJP candidates, the CM said it would come soon. The meeting of the Parliamentary Board will be held on March 8. “A list of 195 candidates has already been declared and soon the second list will be finalised,” he said. On the issue of seat sharing with alliance partner JJP in Haryana, he said the Parliamentary Board will take the final decision.
