Haryana BJP Kisan Morcha chief Sukhvinder Mandi joins Congress

Another BJP leader and chairman of Barwala Municipal Committee Ramesh Batterywala also quit the party

Haryana BJP Kisan morcha state president and former MLA from Badhra Assembly constituency in Charkhi Dadri district, Sukhvinder Mandi on Saturday joined the Congress.

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Congress’ state president Udai Bhan welcomed Mandi into the party fold.

Sukhvinder had won the 2014 election on BJP ticket but lost to JJP's Naina Chautala in 2019.

He was upset with the party after being denied ticket.

Meanwhile, another BJP leader and chairman of Barwala Municipal Committee Ramesh Batterywala also quit the party on Saturday.
