Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Hooda today said e-auction policy of Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) would be scrapped if the Congress came to power in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Terming the policy as anti-poor, the Congress stalwart said the HSVP plots were meant for poor and middle-class people so as to provide them all urban amenities in well-planned sectors but the e-auction policy was depriving them from getting the plots while the property dealers and private colonisers were taking benefit of it.

BJP suppressed voice of farmers

Instead of making policies for their betterment and welfare, the BJP government has suppressed the voice of employees, farmers, businessmen and other sections of society and therefore it is now facing protests from all corners of the state. — Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Former chief minister

“The HSVP, erstwhile HUDA, was established to provide affordable residential and commercial plots with all basic facilities in planned sectors to poor and middle-class people. Earlier, the plots were allotted to them through draw of lots but the BJP government launched e-auction that led to manifold increase in the prices of plots,” Hooda said. He also launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over deteriorating law and order across the state. “Criminals are openly demanding extortion from businessmen while the state government is making no effort to check rising crime leading to panic-like situation among people across the state,” he added.
