Various colleges of the HAU, and their courses, have been given recognition for next five years.

Agricultural College, Bawal, was recognised by the NAEAB for the first time. The university scored 3.52 out of 4.00 marks during the evaluation.

Vice-Chancellor BR Kamboj said the university was continuously enhancing its identity, not only at the national level, but also at the international level.

This assessment was based on qualitative and quantitative metrics and was a matter of great happiness. The senior academicians of the NAEAB team evaluated every aspect of the university, meeting with faculty members, students, parents, alumni and staff, he added.

The university has been accredited by the ICAR for five years — from 1 April, 2023, to 31 March, 2028 — with an A+ grade. HAU offers 7 undergraduate (UG), 47 post-graduate (PG) and 42 PhD courses.

The VC said the grade was a result of the sincerity, hard work and dedication of all teaching and non-teaching staff, and the students and farmers.

The university was dedicated to farmers, and would continue to strive for the welfare of farmers by developing new agricultural technologies, he added.
