Gurugram: 2 Nigerian drug suppliers held
Gurugram: Gurugram police arrested two Nigerian nationals who were allegedly supplying drugs in the region. The cops had arrested a man for possessing 16 gm heroin yesterday, who revealed that he had taken the drugs from the Nigerian nationals. According to the police, it was on Sunday when the Farrukhnagar team's crime unit arrested Rajesh, an alleged drug peddler. During the interrogation, the accused revealed that he had received the drug from two Nigerian drug suppliers. The police conducted raid in Delhi and arrested the two who were identified as Fred and Michael, who were residing in Dwarka. oc

Palwal: The police have arrested two youths in connection with an incident of drug peddling and recovered around 50 gm smack (heroin) from the accused. The market cost of the seized drug is reported to be around Rs 1.5 lakh. A police official said the accused were identified as Vinod Kumar and Vishnu and were nabbed by a team of cops on Sunday after interception of the service road of the national highway leading to the village. Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer Gaurav Ranjan, who had been deputed as the Nodal Officer, said the police had registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in this regard. Gurugram: A team from the Badshahpur police station raided a pan and cigarette shop near Pyramid Urban Homes Society on Sohna Road, Sector 70A, on Sunday. The police arrested the shop operator and his salesman, seizing over 55 packets of banned e-cigarettes and foreign cigarettes from the premises. An FIR was registered at the Badshahpur police station. The arrested have been identified as shop operator Sachin Kumar Chaurasia and his salesman, Jagan Narain Chaurasia. “A large quantity of foreign and e-cigarettes were displayed on the counter. When asked to produce the licence and documents related to their possession, they were unable to do so,” said Sub-Inspector Kanwar Singh. oc
