Govt to develop Adibadri, Lohgarh in Yamunanagar: Tourism Dept Director
The Director of state Tourism Department, Shalin, said the Haryana Government was taking several steps for the development of Adibadri and Lohgarh areas of Yamunanagar district.
After visiting these areas on Friday, he said that the state government was determined to promote both these areas from a tourism point of view.
He arrived here today with other officials to plan the development of this area.
According to information, Adibadri is believed to be the udgam sthal (origin place) of Saraswati river.
Dr Shalin further said that Lohgarh was the capital of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and this place would be developed and the ongoing development work would be completed soon.
“Lohgarh will be developed from the tourism point of view. The Panchayat Department has given 20 acres 11 kanal 3 marla land to the government to build a martial arts museum here,” said Dr Shalin.
On this occasion, Director of Sports Department, Yashendra Singh, Deputy Director of Tourism Department Rajpal, Additional Director, Sports Department, Vivek Padam Singh; Deputy Director Manjit Singh, MD of Tourism Department Sunil Kumar, GM Indrajit, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Virendra Dhul, District Revenue Officer Vikas Singh, District Sports Officer Shilpa Gupta, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Kartik Chauhan and other officers were present.
