Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said the government schools in the state would be revamped in the state over the next five years, emphasising that improving education in rural areas and transforming the sector is his key priority.

“To change the meaning of politics, one must undergo rigorous dedication. That is what I am doing. I will neither engage in wrongdoings nor support those who do. In my view, public service is national service, and I will not tolerate any negligence in this regard,” said Dhanda while addressing the gatherings during his visit to 10 villages in the Panipat Rural Assembly constituency on Sunday.

He appealed to the people of the area to educate their children and equip them with the skills to contribute to the service of the nation.

“My entire life is dedicated to the service of rural people, and I am walking this path to serve them. It may take some time to fix the system, but in the end, the results will be very positive,” Dhanda added.

He urged the villagers to admit their children to government schools, assuring them that the government guarantees good results. The Education Minister further said the state government was committed to realising the dreams of the rural population. "We are focusing on development of every section of society. The policies of both the central and state governments are giving a boost to development," he added.

He also explained the benefits of the new policy and appealed for public support. “Basic amenities are being provided in all schools,” he added. “We are ensuring the safety of women and giving them equal respect in all areas.” Dhanda said the era of 'bribes' and 'recommendations' was over. Now, the youth who are talented would rise. The state government's focus was on children's education to ensure their bright future, he added.
