Chandigarh, July 26

After a series of meetings between government officials and the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association, the doctors’ strike ended today.

“We met Amit Aggarwal, the APS to CM today. The meeting ended on a good note. The government has accepted our proposals and assured us that it would notify them before August 15,” said Dr Anil Yadav, General Secretary, HCMSA.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
